More than 30 years in one chair

Dr. Moran graduated from dental school in 1988 and purchased this practice on E Merritt Avenue in 1992. For over 30 years he cared for Tulare families through first teeth, braces years, weddings, and retirements. Some families he treated across four generations: great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, and kids, all in the same chair. That kind of trust isn't built with marketing. It's built one honest appointment at a time, year after year.

A handoff done the old-fashioned way

When Dr. Moran decided to retire last October, one thing mattered to him above everything else: the next dentist had to be independent and personable, someone who would truly take care of the long-term patients he had treated like family for three decades. He found that in Dr. Jocelyn Reyes, an independent dentist with more than 20 years of her own in the Central Valley, and he entrusted his practice and his beloved patients to her.

And he didn't just hand over the keys. He wrote a personal letter to every family in the practice to let them know about the transition. Then he stayed for nearly a month, working alongside Dr. Reyes, personally introducing his patients to their new dentist, walking her through the little things that never show up in a chart, and making sure every person who trusted him felt comfortable with the change. That's rare. And it tells you everything about the standard he set.

Longtime Visalia patients know her as Dr. McPherson, and she made Dr. Moran a promise: this stays a family office.
